Here is another good example of how to dress a bay window. As you can see the functional treatments are roman shades. Kingston style valances cover the roman shades and are made individually for each window. The valances are positioned close together to give a continuous line.

What is with all the bed pillows? If your a woman you just can’t have too many pillows on the bed, we use so many we can hardly see the bed. I believe it’s a love of decorative items, things to change the look of the bed,and pull colors and design together. Another reason for so many pillows is home fashion, it’s the thing , the look today. If your a man, well there are just too many darn pillows on the bed, all you need are the pillows that you’re going to put your head on.

How do you make all those pillows look great on the bed? You must first select fabric colors and designs that complement each other and the duvet or bed covering. Next decide how many pillows you want for the bed and their sizes and shapes. Pillow layout for the bed usually starts from the largest pillow to the smallest beginning from the headboard.

This is an example of a simple, functional, and good looking bay treatment. Two layers make up this window treatment, wood blinds and a tailored valance. The secret to this good look is a perfect fit. Wood blinds must be measured and ordered to fit perfectly and the valance is of course a custom designed and fabricated valance.

That being said ,don’t we all want the rooms in our homes to be memorable? None of us decorate with the intention of having boring, uninspiring, ho hum rooms. We want attractive rooms with different feelings, from restful to inspiring and from classy to man cave.

The biggest bang for your buck comes in a can of paint, it’s inexpensive compared to all the other decorating items. Wall color is the backdrop for all the other furnishings in your room. The backdrop can either be boring or full of life, it’s up to you. Be dariing and select a bold color for your next decorating project.
