Tassels and Trim

Tassels and trims are like the frosting on a wedding cake. They add color, texture, interest, and appeal.  The variety of trims and tassels is almost overwhelming.

Tassels like the one in the picture show how much detail goes into just the tassel alone. Take a close look at the tassel and see how many different details you notice.  There should be no less than six different details that you pick up on.

Details make such a difference between a nice window treatment and a WOW! treatment.

Let’s examine the window treatment in the photogragh to discover what makes it a Wow treatment. Decorative hardware adds a great element of interest to this valance, normally the valance would not have any visible hardware. The coloration of the hardware compliments one of the colors in the fabric also. Unusual pleating is another detail that makes a difference, the norm would be to have either no pleating at all or pinch pleating.

Another wonderful detail  is the large graceful scallops, they add grace and movement to the otherwise tailored valance. For the finishing touch, 4 inch long tassel trim in color moss green that coordinates with the fabric. Without the trim the treatment would be missing something , like a cake without the icing.  This is a WOW! treatment in every sense of the word.
